The Coravin wine system allows you to drink a glass of wine without opening the bottle. This allows wine to be tasted and tested to see if it is already ready to drink. An innovative system equipped with a hollow needle that is pierced through the cork (and the capsule!). The wine is then poured through the needle. The space created in the bottle is filled by the same needle with argon gas, which does not give oxygen to the wine. Thus, no oxidation occurs and the wine cannot go bad. Once a wine glass is poured, the needle can be pulled out and the cork closes airtight. This system works for all bottles with natural corks. For bottles with screw cap there are reusable Coravin closures.
