The advertising figure that made the product so popular was developed in 1957 by a Chicago advertising agency under the name Mr. Clean. In German-speaking countries the advertising figure was introduced in 1967 under the name Mr. Clean. In the 1990s, the advertising slogan "Brilliant shine for the whole house" subsequently created a huge cult around the brand, which still exists today. Meister Proper offers all-purpose, bathroom and kitchen cleaners and even dirt erasers.
