2 ways to knot your colourful scarf into a pretty summer bag
If the sunny weather is tempting you to make impulse purchases, you can put a stop to them now. Forget a sewing machine, you can create your new favourite summer bag with one simple trick.
There’s nothing more rewarding than a pretty DIY project. Especially not when it’s easy as pie, doesn’t require any skills or extra materials. Provided you have a nice scarf at home, you can transform it into your new favourite summer bag in just a few simple steps. Don’t believe me? Ready, get set, go.
Option 1: two knots
Spread your scarf out in front of you on a flat surface. Tie the diagonally opposite corners with a knot.

What hardly represents a bag when lying down can now simply be picked up by the straight knotted handles. Slipped over your arm or dangling from your hand, you can fill the bag with all your belongings.

Option 2: six knots
The principle is the same here as the previous method. You just tie a few more knots. Spread the scarf out in front of you. Now tie a knot in each of the four corners, making sure the resulting tail ends aren’t too short. The next step is to join two adjacent ones together.

What reads a little complicated is easy-peasy in practice. You should now have a little pouch and a total of six knots. A pouch with two handles that you can slip over your arm on a summer’s day walk.
