Apple Vision Pro: Augmented reality headset for 3500 dollars

Customers in the USA will be able to pre-order the Apple Vision Pro from 19 January. The first devices will be delivered on 2 February. In addition to the start date, Apple has also communicated the prices for vision correction inserts.

Pre-orders are possible from 19 January. It is still not known when the device will be available in Europe. "Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman writes in his newsletter that the launch outside the USA is not very far away.
Along with the announcement, Apple released a short advert - full of glasses and headset scenes from Hollywood films:
Details are now also available on the price of the corrective lenses for spectacle wearers. The inserts produced by Zeiss cost 99 US dollars for "reading glasses corrections" and 149 US dollars for customised corrections according to prescription. The magnetic inserts are said to be easy and precise to fit or remove.
The remaining accessories are included with the Vision Pro at no extra charge:
"The era of spatial computing has begun. Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronics device ever developed," Apple CEO Tim Cook is quoted as saying. The Apple Vision Pro was introduced last summer. The headset's hardware is far ahead of the competition, but the tech giant from California is charging a hefty price: the basic version with 256 GB of memory costs 3,500 US dollars. It is not yet clear whether there will be higher memory variants.
