I'm currently moving into a bigger flat and looking for new furniture. In this series, I'm browsing through the Galaxus shop for each of my rooms and introducing some products that I can imagine using in my new place. Today I'm continuing with the kitchen.
The move to a newly renovated 2.5-room flat with around 67 square metres in Hamburg is coming to an end. I'll soon be able to move in. Before then, I'd like to introduce you to six products from the Galaxus shop for one room in my new flat in the third part of my series.
The kitchen room got a new fitted kitchen from the landlord shortly before I moved in: a kitchen unit with cooker, sink, storage and shelves. In between, there are two free areas for a washing machine and a dishwasher, which I have to buy myself. A fridge is also missing. No problem at all. I already have a washing machine. I can get the rest myself. And that's what I'm going to focus on in this article. At the end of this series, I'll tell you what I actually chose and how I got on with it. And sorry: some products may not be available in all country shops.

1. refrigerator
A fridge is needed. That's clear. As I'm a passionate amateur chef and always need enough space for cold drinks, it shouldn't be too small. In terms of width, a 60-centimetre refrigerator fits well in the corner of the kitchen I have in mind. In my shortlist, I decided on three appliances: the KG39E8XBA from Siemens and the KGN39VXCT and KGN39AIAT from Bosch. I like the internal features of all three, they offer everything I need and are visually appealing. Energy consumption is limited in each case and the noise level is now also quite low for these appliances. The handles on two of the fridges make them easier to open. Now I just have to think about whether I want to change the door hinges so that the fridge is open to the kitchen.
2. dishwasher
In recent years, I've got used to the dishwasher as a household aid. It's really nice to no longer have to wash the dishes by hand, but to put them in the dishwasher instead. It saves time and let's be honest: who likes doing the dishes? I certainly don't.
For space reasons, it has to be a dishwasher with standard dimensions that I can push into the free space in the kitchen. I quickly decided on an appliance from Siemens or Bosch. I'm interested in the SN53ES14VE or the SMS6ZCI49E, for example. They offer me good entry-level functions, are quiet and don't consume too much electricity. However, I still have to think about how much I'm prepared to spend on the price. Apart from that, the only thing that really matters to me is a cutlery drawer. I prefer this to a cutlery box. Experience has shown that my cutlery gets cleaner in it.
3. seating area with table
Last but not least, I thought about setting up a small seating area with a table in the kitchen. However, as with many kitchens, space is very limited. I measured the area: A table with a maximum width of 60 centimetres and a length of one metre will fit. This is a rather unusual size, as I have now discovered (after a lengthy search). Most of the tables I've found are wider. I also want to position the chairs facing each other against the wall so that you can look at each other while eating together and not against the wall.
I already introduced the brand Vasagle in my first article about my hallway. I found what I was looking for again here. The Damian bar table looks chic in my eyes, fits well into the kitchen with its look and fulfils my requirements in terms of size. Two matching bar stools are included in the set.
