Samsung has announced a keynote in Paris for 10 July. Some information on new foldable smartphones and an ultra smartwatch has already been leaked. The Galaxy smart ring is also likely to be announced.

Samsung had already scheduled its first major product launch of the year earlier than usual. In January, the Korean manufacturer unveiled the S24 series. The second keynote will now follow earlier than usual. Samsung is inviting guests to Paris on Wednesday, 10 July.

An ultra watch as a surprise

According to initial rumours, the normal Galaxy Watch 7 with a 1.5-inch screen will not change much. However, the sensors are arranged differently. This indicates new hardware and therefore improved measurement functions

Is the ring finally coming?

Samsung has been revealing information about the first smart ring bit by bit since the beginning of the year. It was shown to the public for the first time at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

But there are still many unanswered questions: How much does the ring cost and what exactly can it do? Does it need an additional plan? When will it come onto the market - and will it be launched directly worldwide or only in a few major markets first?

Details will be available on 10 July. The first leaks already show possible features. For example, Android Authority has analysed Samsung's Health app and comes to the conclusion that the ring measures the pulse, tracks stress, tracks the skin temperature for calculating the period and also detects snoring.

The first leaks speak of a price of 300 to 350 dollars, which would be similar to the competition. No plan should be necessary for the basic functions, but according to rumours for additional health features.

New design for the large foldable phone

Traditionally, Samsung's two folding models take centre stage in the summer. This year, however, the internal competition for attention is fierce - also because only upgrades and no major changes are expected for the Fold and Flip.

At least the Koreans are responding to the competition with the Galaxy Fold6 and changing the design slightly. The external screen is to grow from 6.2 to 6.3 inches, while at the same time the device will be more compact. It will no longer look as much like an elongated bar, but will be slightly wider and shorter in a brick shape. The Fold6 could also be lighter and thinner than its predecessor.

The biggest change in the specs is likely to be the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Otherwise, only minor improvements are expected. The same applies to the Flip6, which doesn't even have any major visual changes. What is visible in the leaked images is that the camera lenses have a new decorative ring in the same colour as the casing and the edges of the device are slightly less rounded.

The ring and watch are likely to steal the show from the two smartphones this time. Unless Samsung shows spectacular new developments in the field of artificial intelligence.

Gadgets are my passion - whether you need them for the home office, for the household, for sport and pleasure or for the smart home. Or, of course, for the big hobby next to the family, namely fishing.
