The Crucial P3 Plus shows the same strengths and weaknesses as its PCIe Gen 3 equivalent, the Crucial P3. In terms of performance, it neither stands out positively nor negatively, and thus ranks in the midfield. Of course, we didn't expect any performance leaps compared to the Crucial P5 at this price, but it is worth questioning whether the surcharge for a TLC SSD is worth it...

The Plus version of the Crucial P3 is like the P3, but the controller of the Plus is allowed to work at full speed. It achieves more than 5 GByte/s when reading, but only slightly more than the P3 when writing with 3.6 GByte.
Due to the slow QLC memory, it becomes slower and slower with increasing fill level; even the P3 Plus does not reach 100 MByte/s when writing completely...
