If you like retro design and operation, the Z fc is a very good camera that achieves similar results to Fuji's X-E4 and X-T30. It is the first Nikon Z camera to be equipped with a monitor that folds out to the side. However, the older Nikon Z 50 performs minimally better in our test and costs 150 euros less according to street prices - so it gets the price tip...

If you prefer APS-C cameras, Fuji is the right choice. With the X-T4 (26 MP, approx. 1700 euros), the Japanese offer one of the best models with this sensor size. Much cheaper (just under 1000 euros) and equipped with the same image sensor is the X-S10, which brings along many functions known from the X-T4 and sets its own accents with its large grip and the swivel monitor...

- The renewals of the X-T series have succeeded thanks to the stabiliser, higher battery power and more. The test results show that not only the handling wins, but also the image quality reaches a very high level.
- It's just a small thing that also affects filmmakers: The lack of an audio output, which is simulated by means of the included USB-C cable, is a step backwards. Because the additional cable is often forgotten.
The camera's performance in terms of image quality is outstanding. In addition, criticisms of Fujifilm X cameras in terms of handling are history with the new X-T4. The most important innovation is the integrated image stabiliser, which competes with the top systems of other mirrorless system models right off the bat...

- Image-stabilised X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor
- Professional image quality
- Precise, fast AF system
- Up to 15 frames per second in series
- 4K video modes
- Rotatable and tiltable touch display
Very good weatherproof system camera. For the highest demands. With very good electronic viewfinder, large image converter and network function. Top score in the eye test. Very good monitor to fold (by 225 degrees) and swivel (by 180 degrees), fast camera, basic handles work very easily, many extras and functions. Disadvantage: very expensive.
The Fujifilm X-T4 wins the duel against the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III by a narrow margin thanks to better image quality. If speed and robustness are priorities, the OM-D E-M1 Mark III comes out on top: it scores with a faster autofocus, a higher continuous shooting speed and a particularly large range of weather-protected professional lenses.
