For relatively little money, Nikon's entry-level D3500 offers a lot: a very good sensor, high speed, many smart functions, a very long battery life and a large display. Nikon's SnapBridge technology is ideal for permanently pairing smartphone and camera. However, if you want a flip-up display with touch function or special flash modes, you have to look a class higher.
- Very simple operation
- High image quality
- Small sensor
- No 4K video
The small and lightweight SLR camera is just right for beginners: those who don't want to bother with the camera settings can simply set the full automatic mode or let themselves be guided by the guide mode. - Solid picture quality
- Sufficiently high speed for continuous shooting and autofocus
- Compact and handy housing
- Understandable guide mode
- Long battery life
- Neither touchscreen nor UHD video
- Very simple operation
- High image quality
- Slow for series
- No 4K videos
