With the 1.8/35, Panasonic continues to expand its KB series. At aperture 1.8, the measured values for the centre of the image are OK, but the drop in contrast at the edges is quite high. Stopping down raises the measured values for the centre of the image to a very good to excellent level...

- The lens does not have an optical image stabiliser and is therefore absolutely dependent on the corresponding solution in the camera.
In the quartet of four new fixed focal lengths with f/1.8 aperture, the Panasonic Lumix S 35 mm F1.8 plays a special role. The focal length with a slightly wide-angle characteristic is somewhat unusual. The performance of the lens is in no way inferior to that of its siblings.
