All in all, the new GoPro HER012 Black ascends the action cam throne. In terms of image quality, it is still the measure of all things. The new model also has a practical Bluetooth function and better battery life. All settings can be easily controlled and the videos and photos viewed via the app. The cam itself is waterproof up to a depth of five metres, and in the corresponding housing it can dive up to 30 metres. The replaceable 1300 mAh battery runs out of steam relatively quickly. Various cases and mounts are included in the scope of delivery. Rollei's RRP for the Action one is 249 euros.
The Rollei Action One is interesting for hobby filmmakers who want beautiful pictures without long detours through menus. Rollei relies on few but useful functions and shooting modes, rounded off by a simple app. The 6-axis gyroscope calms the image without shaky edges and artefacts, but can't smooth out every wild action. All in all, a solid camera for under 250 euros.
