Reviews & Ratings
Whether LG or Samsung, OLED or LCD - you will find your TV set in the Stiftung Warentest TV test! Pleasing: Even inexpensive TVs are among the good ones.
Sony's LCD TVs have not yet grown any picture optimisation weed to counter the rich black of the OLEDs. This would require significantly more individually dimmable zones. The colours on the OLED TV also benefit from the high contrast, although the LCD model can keep up and even deliver more expressive images in very bright surroundings...
- Very bright, balanced, high-contrast image
- High operating comfort
- Dolby Atmos, Disney+, Apple TV, HD+
- Own streaming portal "Bravia Core
- Loss of brightness with high white content
- No time shift
Sony also shows with the XR-65A90J that the end of the line has not yet been reached for OLED. The 65-inch screen shines very brightly, displays extreme contrasts and delivers a superbly balanced picture. With "Bravia Encore", the Japanese have also integrated their own streaming service. An additional argument for this premium TV!
- Brilliant OLED panel from the Master Series
- Good image processor
- Excellent sound without loudspeakers
- Google TV (10)
- Bravia Core
- exclusive high-end streaming
Sony charges a premium price for the top OLED model A90J, as in previous years. However, this buys the customer one of the highest-contrast, most authentic colours and brightest picture displays available on the market for an OLED TV. Even experienced cinema fans will have little or nothing to complain about here...
- Bravia Core
- Google TV
- excellent image quality
The new Bravia XR A90J from Sony offers outstanding picture quality, good sound and the best streaming options. A big hit that is without a doubt one of the very best TVs around.
