The test winner DS220+ scores well in all test categories: it is easy to set up (see box on the right), transports data at high speed and offers an extremely high range of functions. Great: the data stored on the NAS can also be used on a mobile phone or tablet. There are a good dozen apps for this.
... With its comprehensive multimedia features including AI-based photo management, the device can of course also be used as a powerful multimedia centre - as long as the price is not an issue. The Synology DS220+ is pleasantly economical: in energy-saving mode, the device consumes less than four watts of power.
