Product details
The W-1200 is a dual cassette deck featuring two single-direction cassette decks, a microphone mixer, a USB digital output, and various recording options. Recently, cassettes have captivated even those who have never used them before, thanks to their warm, distinctly analog sound, ease of recording, and the ability to create mix tapes.
The cassette decks support both recording and playback, as they have independent drive mechanisms. Owners can record on both decks simultaneously to produce a pair of identical tapes at the same time. With the microphone input and microphone mixer, you can practice your karaoke singing over a cassette or an external audio source.
TEAC's decades of experience in manufacturing recording devices is also reflected in the W-1200, particularly regarding its noise reduction system. It allows users to play back older cassettes that were originally recorded with Dolby B NR and hear them correctly. Additionally, with the pitch control, you can adjust the playback speed to your desired values, while the included level meters enable fine-tuning of the recording levels. A timer recording and playback function allows for the use of third-party audio timers.
Furthermore, the W-1200 can transfer digital audio in CD quality (up to 48 kHz / 16-Bit PCM) via a USB cable to a computer, enabling the digital archiving of your cassette library. Once you have digitized them on a computer, you can enjoy your old tape-based music library anytime and anywhere through a network player, DAP, smartphone, or even in your car.
