The Speedport NEO is a broadband router with a DSL modem that enables internet connectivity via VDSL2, ADSL, and ADSL2+. The Speedport manages the connection for all connected devices.

The Speedport supports both wireless home networks (Wi-Fi) and wired home networks (LAN). For use in a wired home network (LAN), a device can be connected to the Speedport's LAN port. Additionally, the Speedport allows for the operation of a powerline home network over the electrical system. All connected devices (Powerline, LAN, Wi-Fi) can communicate with each other within the home network.

The Speedport NEO also offers the functions of a telephone system for internet telephony. You can connect up to five Speedphones.
