Hello, does anyone know if WLAN can be switched on/off (relatively) easily? Background: I would like to connect the monitor mainly via cable to my work laptop and work on it, and if possible I would like to reduce the WLAN radiation in my vicinity for the 8+ hours a day when I sit in front of it. And then on single evenings I would watch a movie via wifi/Netflix/Disney/... directly on the monitor.
WLAN is not active if you do not set it up. This means that nothing radiates. In addition, a WiFi 6 WLAN module, for example, may only emit a maximum of 200mW, while a smartphone next to the computer may emit quite a bit, even values of over 2 watts are possible if the connection to the next transmission tower is further away.
The M7 does not have a WiFi 6 WLAN module installed, so it should transmit at most 100 mW, but as I said, if WLAN is not set up, it does not transmit. The WLAN module is deactivated when the LAN connection is used.
So I wouldn't worry so much about the WLAN radiation, you can't catch any health risks.
