Hello, I am looking for a wide-angle lens for astrophotography. According to my research, the most recommended lens for the Sony Alpha 6,000 series is the Samyang 12mm / f2.0. But what puts me off is the alleged series dispersion with this lens. It would annoy me to first return a lens 3 or 4 times before I get a decent one. On the other hand, the 16mm of the Sigma are just 16mm. Does anyone here have experience with the Sigma in astrophotography?
The Sigma is really first class. Extremely sharp even at open aperture. I don't do astrophotography, but there are people who use it for that and seem to be satisfied. Maybe you should ask in a forum.
