Canon MAXIFY GX7050
Ink tank, Colour
Hello, the GX7050 says you can print up to 14000 colour pages. I reckon I would need about 10 years for that. Is this a problem for the ink? Does it dry out at some point?
If you do not print for a long time, the ink may dry out and you will have to run the cleaning programme (possibly even twice).
With regular weekly printing, the ink should not dry out. However, I myself have the most problems with the red colour
as this seems to be used the least. With the other colours and black, I have had no problems with regular printing (a few pages 1 to 2 times a week).
a few pages once or twice a week). Previously I had an Epson printer with an ink tank, which was much worse with the colours drying out.
I haven't bought any ink yet.
Difficult to say, probably not the intended area of application. My wife, who runs a small company, still has the original colours in the cupboards after well over a year, but she has already had to run the cleaning programme once (!) because one colour had dried up. Then everything went well again. But the company uses the GX7050 on a daily basis, even if not for hundreds of pages every day, but often just a few.
Yes, don't buy it if you don't print it every week.
It gets clogged...
