First of all, the language: In the Home app from Google, you can set the languages that you can speak with the Assistant. For example, I have English and German in it, so it answers in the language in which you ask the question. Maybe you have both in and it interprets certain answers in English.

Your TV, on the other hand, should work completely, what commands do you give it? For example, I have an NVidia Shield which I control with my Google Home and this works well with commands like "Turn on", "Play *artist* on Spotify", "Play generic Video on Youtube" etc. I don't have Netflix, so I can't give it any commands. I don't have Netflix, so I can't judge that. What is noticeable, however, is that if you just say "Play on Youtube" and it is not defined in the app that this should always happen on the TV, then it either plays it directly on the Mini or asks you on which device.

I now have 2 Minis and a normal Home in the house and control many things with them, mainly music, light, YouTube, hoover etc.. I also use the new broadcast function (from 2 devices). I rarely have problems, only the combination of German and English in the same command can be difficult (i.e. wanting a German artist in English, then you have to emphasise the "Denglish", or an English broadcast command with a German message, etc.).

I hope I was able to help a little, but tell me which specific commands don't work, maybe I can try them on my own and see what the problem might be.

Small update :

The language has definitely helped with the English comments.

However, the problem with controlling the TV still exists. I have already completely reintegrated and reconfigured all smart devices, but without success.
Voice commands like: Hey Google, turn on my "TV". Sometimes they work, sometimes they tell me they can't do it yet. Sometimes it gives no feedback at all.


Are there still possibilities? Is it possible that the voice control is not yet as developed?

You are indeed right. I went through the settings today to check again.
And as you say, English was still activated. So I'll test that, thanks for that.

Commands I use are something like : "start youtube on tv".

Nothing happens, the speaker doesn't say it doesn't understand.
And sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Theory: Since Youtube and Netflix are English brand names, the Mini sometimes can't weigh up what I want and just does nothing or answers in English.

I will test this tonight.
