I would like to use the device in a setup without cloud with a central storage (e.g. hard drive), the idea is e.g. to store the videos locally on the SD card and fetch them regularly with a Raspberry pi. Does anyone have experience with this and is it possible?

Hi
I've been using two for years.
You can save to local minisd as well as locally to FTP or similar. Save.
You can use everything offline without cloud etc.

In case anyone else comes across my question: It is possible to save the videos from the camera directly to an FTP server. In addition, there is also a Rest interface with which you can search for and download the videos yourself from a device within the network. The use of the Reolink Cloud is therefore optional; my cameras are even blocked from accessing the Internet via a router, but they still work perfectly.

(I have no experience with FTP). The following are links to the Reolink support page. One for http access (e.g. for the settings) and one for FTP access to the camera. https://support.reolink.com/hc... and https://support.reolink.com/hc...
