Inexpensive for 08/15 applications
The scanner only works without a computer, but is very easy to use. It saves the images directly onto the SD card. An image (slide as well as negative) is scanned in only 2s. The output format is only JPG which limits the quality of the results during post-processing. The device has rudimentary settings for brightness and the 3 colours. The control of brightness and colours with the small display is only approximate. In any case, the unit struggles to deliver good results with high contrast images. The included TV cable is a joke, because the resolution on the TV is even worse than on the small display. Only pictures that have already been scanned and saved on the SD card can be viewed on the computer via USB. However, the USB interface is very sluggish. Only two days after I bought the set at Digitec, it has become 21% cheaper at Digitec. That is annoying.

Everything is good except for the display and certain frames like for Instamatic have to be bought separately.
If I were you, I would buy the new model with a bigger and sharper display.
If you connect it to the PC or notebook with the USB cable, it can save the photos directly on the PC and also draws power via the USB cable.Pro
