Salut, I use the pot mainly for baking bread, but it's not really necessary. The pot is made of ceramic but sealed and not open-pored like a Roman pot, for example. Accordingly, you don't have to water it. Otherwise, I think you should wash it by hand and not in the machine, but there's no way around that with this size. Otherwise, I have only had great experiences with the pot.
