Philips Viva Collection HR1388/80
Fulfils its purpose. Pleasing in design; somewhat weak in performance
Works very well, easy to use and maintain. However, for carrots, for example, it may not be grated in its entirety and small pieces turn without being grated. As they remain in the machine, this does not spoil the quality of your salad.

Only 4 stars because it just can not do everything, we cook often and cut our vegetables always rather in larger pieces what the machine can not, the fries size is great, the other blades are great for salads. The cleaning is also super easy, I just rinse it with hot water and let it dry.

I am very satisfied with the product. I previously had a cheap product from Lidl and gave it back annoyed. Now I am satisfied and there is more salad.
I cook mainly for myself and fresh every day. Therefore, I do not need large quantities of vegetables.
Together with the cleaning effort (unless I rinse with the machine) I am faster with the cutting by hand than with the Salad Maker. Also, a high container (bowl) must be placed under the chute, otherwise the vegetables will fly all over the kitchen. Cutting directly into a plate is therefore only possible with a big mess. Likewise, when cutting potatoes or peperonis always remain relatively large remnants in the cutter. For me, only recommended when preparing large quantities or for cutting fries. The motor also quickly reaches its limits.

Unbelievable, appliance out of order after 2 grated carrots...
Motor overheated and then nothing.
I regret this purchase.
