Does anyone know how Xiaomi measures filter consumption? The air purifier indicates when the filter is "used up" and needs to be replaced, and at some point refuses to work if it is not replaced. And if you insert a used filter into another appliance, the other appliance will refuse to work. The consumption is therefore somehow stored in the filter. But how is this measured? Does the filter last longer if you run the appliance with less power, ideally longer in percentage terms the weaker you run it? My wife thinks that it only depends on the operating time, not on the power setting. What is the actual situation?
Hi, we use the air purifier 7/24 in auto mode and the filter lasts a good year. Regarding your question, I found this:

The calculation of the filter life is based on the time the air purifier has been used and the number of particles and air pollution. This usually results in a service life of approx. 12-24 months with a usage time of 12 hours per day
