1) I have a multi-storey detached house. Do I have to lug the base station with me every time or can side rooms on the other floors be cleaned autonomously (without the base station)? So that the station stays on the ground floor and the upper floors are only cleaned by the robot?

2) I've already had a few robot hoovers. Unfortunately, they always got caught under the sofa and got stuck. Does the Dreame X40 Ultra Complete now have this problem under control?

I have exactly the same setup. A multi-storey house.
The X40 Ultra (and probably also the other Dreame models) have this completely under control.
The individual floors are recorded via the app (all automatically) and then you start the X40 on the app on the corresponding floor. The robot hoover must be carried to the floor. The base station remains fixed in one place.

It has sofas, cables, dressers, beds, etc. all under control.
