Dreame X40 Ultra Complete
Vacuum mopping robot
I have 2 important questions: 1) I have a multi-storey detached house. Do I have to lug the base station with me every time or can side rooms on the other floors be cleaned autonomously (without the base station)? So that the station stays on the ground floor and the upper floors are only cleaned by the robot? 2) I've already had a few robot hoovers. Unfortunately, they always got caught under the sofa and got stuck. Does the Dreame X40 Ultra Complete now have this problem under control? What are your experiences with these two problems?
Hi Chris
Question 1: I have two floors. I have the base station on the ground floor. I take the vacuum cleaner for the lower floor out of the station, carry it to the lower floor and let the robot vacuum. It's a bit more difficult with damp mopping in the basement. After approx. 20m2 the mops are dry. As it cannot move independently from the basement to the ground floor to the base station, I have it mop each room individually, then remove the mops and wash them with a brush under running water. Put the mops back on and continue.
When it has finished everything, I take it back to the base station and then everything is emptied and cleaned automatically.
It actually recognises the floors automatically... but I select them manually so that I can let it work room by room.
Question 2: It shouldn't actually go under furniture that is too deep... I've only ever had it get stuck under the toilet once, and that was after 119 cycles, 3920m2 cleaned in 5118 minutes. That's perfectly fine for me.
I previously had a Neato... and I have to say the Dreame is awesome. I really enjoy wet mopping. It vacuums and mops to my complete satisfaction.
Have fun with it if you buy one.
