The most expensive system in the test field from Netatmo does not score fully. The transponder keys in particular prove to be impractical as they are too loose. On the other hand, the door can be opened easily using a smartphone. Unfortunately, the system can only be operated locally.

The market for smart door locks is manageable, but offers a decent selection. None of the devices tested need to hide. Switchbot offers a reasonably priced entry-level product, while Yale offers a functional extension to its comprehensive in-house security system. Why the Tedee is almost twice as expensive is beyond us. Nuki offers the best overall package.
