Product details
The Windhager Lacewing House is specifically designed for the settlement and overwintering of beneficial lacewings. The box is painted in red, which attracts the aphid-eating beneficial insects. For filling the box, it is best to use compact, not too firm wheat straw or wood wool. The filling is done through the removable roof. The insect hotel is made of wood and features slits on the front, allowing the insects to easily enter. There is a practical hanging loop for mounting in a dry, sheltered location.
Note: Hang it up by early autumn at the latest. In very bad weather (severe frost), the box can also be overwintered in a wood shed or cellar. The signal red color attracts beneficial insects through the slits on the front and underside into the interior. Made from solid wood. Roof with a flamed surface.
