The measuring range is between -40 to +200 °C or -40 to +392 °F and deviates at most +_ 1°C from the actual temperature. The numeric LCD display has a backlight and is therefore extremely bright. The Thermoter must not be used in a closed oven. Just put it in the food or hold it for a few seconds - done. The thermometer must be cleaned by hand with a cloth - NOT dishwasher safe.
