After a long career as a pirate, Henry Morgan manages to be appointed Governor of Jamaica in February 1678, with the task of putting an end to pirates and smugglers. However, he prefers to encourage his old companions and fellow warriors to settle in his territory, where they can enjoy the fruits of their plundering completely unbothered. To appropriately celebrate the 30th anniversary of his appointment, he organizes a grand race around the island, at the end of which the crew that has loaded the most gold into the hold of their ship is declared the winner.
