Lego unveils new Star Wars Star Destroyer

To mark the 20th anniversary of "The Clone Wars", Lego is launching a new UCS ship on the market: the Venator-class Star Destroyer. The Republic attack cruiser measures an impressive 109 centimetres long and 55 centimetres wide. The set consists of 5374 individual parts and is one of the largest ships in Lego's Ultimate Collector Series. The Star Destroyer will be available exclusively from Lego from 1 October 2023 for 650 euros. Galaxus and other retailers will not be allowed to sell the set until 1 January 2024.

In contrast to the previous, mostly grey UCS ships, the dark red accents on this set really stand out. Just like the original, the model has the two bridges, the hangar doors on the side and a huge engine. There are also eight turbo lasers on the wings to be prepared for any eventuality.

You can see from the pictures that this set is also not without stickers. For a UCS ship in this price range, I would have expected printed bricks from Lego. At least the plaque for display and the corresponding Clone Wars anniversary brick are printed. There is also space for the two exclusive minifigures: Admiral Wullf Yularen and Captain Rex.

At the moment there is no more detailed information about the set. However, I will assemble the ship as soon as possible and give you all the important details in a review.
