Steam removes "Ghost of Tsushima" from countries without PSN access

Just one week after the controversy surrounding "Helldivers 2", Sony has managed to put its foot in its next mouth. It's about the game "Ghost of Tsushima", which is due to be released for PC on 16 May. Last week the developer studio Sucker Punch announced that a Playstation Network Account (PSN) would be required for the multiplayer mode. However, in single-player mode the game will work without a PSN account. A link is optional here.

Now, however, Valve has completely removed the action role-playing game from the Steam shops of all countries in which the Playstation Network is not available. This is according to the Steam database SteamDB. There are indications that this decision was made by the publisher itself. Anyone who has already purchased the game in these countries will receive their money back from Steam. The story is very reminiscent of "Helldivers 2". There, too, the same 177 countries were affected, such as Albania or Monaco.

What does Sony do?

About three days after the initial announcement of "Helldivers 2", Sony rowed back and announced that the linking of Steam and Playstation accounts would not be enforced. A statement on "Ghost of Tsushima" is still pending. Sony is now under pressure. The company must find a solution quickly and communicate it transparently.
