This megazoom pushes the boundaries of conventional travel zooms in both the wide-angle and telephoto ranges. With a minimum focal length of 16 mm (equivalent to a viewing angle of 24.8 mm in full-frame) up to a maximum focal length of 300 mm (equivalent to a viewing angle of 465 mm), this remarkable lens offers a zoom factor of 18.8x. It meets the demand of many customers for increased flexibility. Whether it's the extended wide-angle or the long 300 mm telephoto focal length, the desired zoom factor can be easily and quickly selected with a slight twist.
Sophisticated and reliable image quality in a versatile lens. The lens construction features 16 elements in 12 groups, including three aspherical elements, one hybrid aspherical element, two LD (Low Dispersion) elements, one XR (Extra Refractive Index) element, and one UXR (Ultra-Extra Refractive Index) element, which has an even higher refractive index than XR glass.
The proven Tamron VC image stabilizer (Vibration Compensation) ensures sharp and shake-free images in this lens. This allows the long telephoto focal length to be perfectly utilized even in handheld shots.
With a minimum focusing distance of just 39 cm for macro photography, the new lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 0.39 m across the entire zoom range, with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.9. This makes it even easier to capture exciting details up close and showcase them effectively.

Das gute bzw. fast sehr gute Ergebnis des Objektivs im Bereich Handhabung kann das eher mäßige Ergebnis bei der Bildqualität leider nur wenig auffangen, weshalb es am Ende bei einer befriedigenden Note bleibt. Die größten Schwächen sind die durchschnittliche Verzeichnung sowie die schwachen Ergebnisse bei Falschlicht...
Das Objektiv verpasst knapp eine gute Bewertung, was vor allem auf das Konto der nur mittelmäßigen Verzeichnung geht. Dies zusammen mit der ebenfalls nur durchschnittlichen Bildstabilisierung sorgt für den letztlichen entscheidenden Punkteverlust. Daran können dann auch die ansonsten guten bis sehr guten Eigenschaften des Modells im Bereich Bildqualität nichts mehr ändern...
Wieder ein Rekord: Der Zoomfaktor von 18,75 an einer SLR ist gewaltig. Und die Bildqualität dieses Megazooms ist nicht so schlecht, wie man befürchten könnte - zumindest wenn man von der Leistung am Tele-Ende absieht. Hier bricht der Kontrast in den Ecken gewaltig ein, und es werden kräftige Farbsäume sichtbar...
Das Zoomobjektiv kostet zwar nur rund 500 Euro, hat aber dafür einige Kritikpunkte, die man nicht außer Acht lassen kann. Da wäre zum einen die Problematik bei offenere Blende, da hier die Ränder teils stark abfallen. Doch auch beim Abblenden gelingt es dem Modell nicht konstante Abbildungsleistungen über das gesamte Bild zu erzeugen...
Da das Tamron eine großes Zoom ist und nicht mit einem herkömmlichen Modell mit Festbrennweite verglichen werden kann, ist die Leistung als sehr gut zu werten. Natürlich ist das Objektiv bei der Anfangsöffnung nicht ganz sauber und die Ränder nicht so scharf wie die Bildmitte aber dafür arbeitet das Gerät sehr sauber und hat eine gute Abbildungsleistung.
