In addition to data transmission, switch ports 1-8 of the switch also provide PoE power supply over the same network cable (Power over Ethernet). These PoE ports automatically detect and power devices
that meet the IEEE 802.3af/at PoE standards (PDs). When the total power required exceeds the maximum 63W of power supplied by the switch, the intelligent PoE power supply interrupts power from the lowest priority port to ensure power to the other ports and protect the switch from overvoltage.
