Product details
4 mm thin patch cable ideal for use in racks and VoIP applications. It features 4 pairs twisted in pairs with AWG36. The length is imprinted on both ends. Cat6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz and are used for signal transmission with high data transmission rates (1 Gbps). Due to the high signal frequencies, special care must be taken when laying and assembling, especially at the connection points of the cores. The individual wire pairs in Cat6 are twisted with varying degrees of twist to reduce susceptibility to interference compared to Cat5e. Applications for Cat6 cables include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks.
Even more powerful are cables to Cat6e (500 MHz) and Cat6a (625 MHz). The slim patch cables offer a significant advantage when wiring racks and 48-port switches. Their extremely thin design and great flexibility help avoid cable confusion and maintain organization. A Wirewin Cat6 slim patch cable has a flexible and wide jack protection, along with a length imprint on both ends, providing order in your distribution cabinets. They are the optimal solution for connecting IP phones to your network. Due to their short sleeve and flexibility, these cables are ideally suited for this application. Despite the extremely thin construction, Power over Ethernet supply for IP telephones is also possible. Additionally, the cables are now round instead of flat as usual.
The AWG (American Wire Gauge) system is based on the manufacturing process of wires and indicates the conductor thickness of the copper wire. AWG36 corresponds to a conductor cross-section of 0.0127 mm².
