The A-S701 has both an optical and a coaxial digital input. The optical input is for TV sound, while the coaxial input is for the sound from the Blu-ray player. The signal remains entirely digital, ensuring pure, dynamic sound from all sources - from sports and other TV shows to movies and concert recordings. You can connect two separate speaker systems in different rooms and switch between them or operate both simultaneously. There are four connections available, allowing you to select the right pair of speakers for each source with the push of a button.
