Question about G5 Universal Dock - 458857

I bought this docking station for my laptop HP 255 G8 (Digitec item no.: 15382211), unfortunately these two do not work with each other. The external screen can only be controlled when the cable (HDMI) is connected to the laptop instead of the docking station. Also, the battery is not charged by the docking station. When I connect the company laptop, everything works as desired or as usual.

Can it be confirmed that the USB-C interface on the HP 255 G8 laptop works with the G5 docking station?
On the company laptop I have a power arrow symbol on the USB-C interface, this is missing on the HP 255 G8 laptop.

That sounds suspiciously like a defect in the laptop's USB-C interface to me.
