Product details
The most popular wood-based panels in furniture construction are the so-called MDF boards. MDF stands for medium-density fibers, which means they are very fine-pored and homogeneous furniture panels, whose edges, unlike particle or chipboard, can be screwed and nailed. However, MDF boards tend to warp or split at the edges when screws are driven in without pre-drilling. To prevent this, we developed SPAX-M: The combination of a CUT tip that essentially drills the screw hole itself, the razor-sharp wave profile, and the small 75° milling head for flush screw sinking ensures that you can easily assemble your MDF components. However, we recommend maintaining a minimum edge distance of 25 mm from the panel edge even when using SPAX-M. This means for you: secure edge screwing, no splitting of the panel edges.
