The SC 8271 is an infrared forehead thermometer. It determines the body temperature within only one second. The end of the measurement is indicated by a signal tone.
The body temperature is measured at the forehead.
Up to nine measured values can be stored in the memory. When the instrument is in the switched-off state, press and hold the ON/OFF button for approx. 3 seconds and the last measured value is displayed. With each additional key press, you call up further measured values in chronological order. Memory location 1 contains the oldest measured value.
Place the measuring probe at a distance of 2 cm in front of the forehead between the eyebrows. Now press the ON/OFF button and read the temperature from the LCD display.
Avoid direct finger contact with the infrared transmitter to prevent dirt and damage.
If the "battery depleted" symbol appears in the display, the battery should be replaced. In the user manual you will find specific instructions on how to open the battery compartment and change the battery. CR 2032 batteries are compatible with this device.
