Product details
Kingston IronKey Locker+ 50 USB flash drives offer consumer-grade security with AES hardware encryption in XTS mode, including protections against BadUSB with digitally signed firmware and brute-force
password attacks. The LP50 is also TAA compliant. The LP50 now supports the multi-password option (admin and user) with complex or passphrase modes. With complex mode, passwords of 6 to 16 characters are allowed using 3 of 4 character sets. The new passphrase mode allows a numeric PIN, a phrase, a word list or even texts with a length of 10 to 64 characters. The administrator can activate a user password or reset the user password to restore data access. To facilitate password entry, the "eye" icon can be enabled so that the password entered is displayed, ensuring fewer typing errors and therefore fewer failed login attempts. The brute force attack protection locks user passwords after 10 invalid password entries in a row and crypto deletes the USB stick after 10 incorrect entries in a row. In addition, an integrated virtual keyboard protects passwords from keyloggers or screen loggers. Locker+ 50 has a small metal case and an integrated key loop for added convenience, so you can take data with you wherever you go. In addition, LP50 offers optional USB to Cloud backup (from ClevX) so you can access data on the drive from your private cloud storage via Google Drive, OneDrive (Microsoft), Amazon Cloud Drive, Dropbox or Box. LP50 is easy to set up and use without any additional application installation. All the necessary software and security is already on the drive. Works with both Windows® and macOS, allowing users to access files from multiple systems.

... After successful activation, the stick achieves a maximum of 165 MByte/s for reading, 145 MByte/s for writing, and the write rate drops to a meagre 3 MByte/s with many small files - but this is similar with other sticks. If you want to have your data not only locally but also in the cloud, you can install the enclosed synchronisation software; this then takes up corresponding space in Dropbox & Co...
