I have a Siberian husky. Vacuum cleaner runs daily, vacuums the flat once and on Wednesdays it vacuums first and then mops. Buy it. Really great. Zero problems. I came from a 7-year-old Irobot Romba and it also vacuumed perfectly. It's always the same. A thousand hours of comparing on the internet to find the best and in the end you decide and that's it. I decided in favour of this one because the station is easier to clean than the vmax. And why not the vmax variant with water connection....because 1x a week is already 5x more than before without the function and because emptying the container 2x a month is no effort. Hope it helps :-)

The robot automatically recognises carpets and increases its suction power to up to 12,000 Pa, which enables very thorough cleaning. It vacuums carpets with high efficiency, picking up over 81 g of dirt on carpets in tests, which is considered very impressive. It also lifts its mops and side brushes on carpets to prevent tangling in the fibres. The extendable side brush also supports cleaning on edges and corners, with particularly good performance on carpets. Overall, the robot is very suitable for households with many carpets and delivers convincing cleaning results.

The Dreame X40 Ultra Complete has advanced carpet detection, which enables it to automatically increase the suction power when it moves onto a carpet. For low pile carpets, the robot lifts its mops to keep them dry. For carpets with a higher pile, the robot can dismantle the mops in the station to protect them from getting wet. This improves the handling of carpets compared to previous models, which may have struggled to drive on carpets and get stuck.

This robot hoover is equipped with a number of advanced cleaning features. It has retractable side brushes, an obstacle detector and a programmable zone cleaning function. The robot is also capable of detecting carpets and automatically separating the wiping pad to avoid getting carpets wet. The base station provides automatic dust emptying and self-cleaning of the wiping pads. For stubborn stains, it can use stain detection to intensify cleaning. When it comes to cleaning products, we recommend using solutions that are compatible with the automatic detergent addition system. However, specific details of recommended cleaning products are not available in the information provided. It is advisable to consult the product manual or the manufacturer's official website for precise recommendations.

A pH-neutral cleaner such as Frosch Neutral Cleaner, Kiehl Veriprop or Dr. Schutz PU Cleaner (mild dosage) is suitable for Dreame on exposed anhydrite floors. Alternatively: 5 litres of water + 1-2 drops of detergent. Important: Only mop with a damp cloth, do not use aggressive cleaners or too much water.

The instructions state that only products sold and tested by Dreame should be used to prevent damage. I'm afraid this could damage the device. After that, the product is not to be put in the water that the Dreme uses, but in the product tank provided for this purpose. It will then be used to wash the mops.

Does this robot also swing out the mop?

Yes, the Dreame X40 Ultra Complete swings the mop out to clean hard-to-reach areas. The mops can swivel outwards by up to 4 cm, thanks to the "RoboSwing" feature, to get under low furniture and into corners.

The Dreame X40 has a large number of setting options regarding the amount of water to be used, the intensity of cleaning and the sequence (e.g. vacuuming before mopping). I think it will also work on a biopolymer cast floor. I mainly use it myself on slate floors and a few carpets. It recognises the difference and adjusts the cleaning automatically (e.g. only vacuuming on carpet).

Hi Chris Question 1: I have two floors. I have the base station on the ground floor. I take the vacuum cleaner for the lower floor out of the station, carry it to the lower floor and let the robot vacuum. It's a bit more difficult with damp mopping in the basement. After approx. 20m2 the mops are dry. As it cannot move independently from the basement to the ground floor to the base station, I have it mop each room individually, then remove the mops and wash them with a brush under running water. Put the mops back on and continue. When it has finished everything, I take it back to the base station and then everything is emptied and cleaned automatically. It actually recognises the floors automatically... but I select them manually so that I can let it work room by room. Question 2: It shouldn't actually go under furniture that is too deep... I've only ever had it get stuck under the toilet once, and that was after 119 cycles, 3920m2 cleaned in 5118 minutes. That's perfectly fine for me. I previously had a Neato... and I have to say the Dreame is awesome. I really enjoy wet mopping. It vacuums and mops to my complete satisfaction. Have fun with it if you buy one.

I have exactly the same setup. A multi-storey house. The X40 Ultra (and probably also the other Dreame models) have this completely under control. The individual floors are recorded via the app (all automatically) and then you start the X40 on the app on the corresponding floor. The robot hoover must be carried to the floor. The base station remains fixed in one place. It has sofas, cables, dressers, beds, etc. all under control.

Hello, as soon as the robot no longer has wifi, it stops and says "Vacuum cleaner offline" you can then neither access the app nor can the vacuum cleaner continue to run manually. It absolutely needs wifi. Even previously programmed times do not work. It leaves the station briefly, then realises that it is offline and that's it. Hope that helps. Info on the side: If you have swinging chairs, you should keep your hands off them, it doesn't recognise them at all and drives halfway over them and gets stuck. Best navigation where swinging chairs are also recognised "Roborock with Kamerars"

The Dreame X40 Ultra Complete is equipped with advanced carpet detection and obstacle detection to prevent it from getting stuck on thick carpets. Here are some important functions that make this possible: - Carpet detection: the robot can recognise carpets and adjust its suction power accordingly to clean effectively without getting stuck. - Obstacle Detector: The X40 Ultra Complete has laser navigation and object detection that allows it to recognise and avoid obstacles, including carpet edges. - Liftable mop pads: When passing over carpets, the robot can lift its mop pads to avoid contact with the carpet fibres. These functions allow the Dreame X40 Ultra Complete to navigate effectively and smoothly over a variety of floor coverings, including thick carpets.

Make sure you have connected and activated the switch behind the station. If it loses the connection or doesn't get a signal from the station, it won't be able to return. Make sure you have a stable connection. Access to the station must also be clear.
